MEET JAYLIN ANGELLE DARBY

Jaylin started her acting journey with the help of a few elementary school teachers. She says, "I got my start in acting because a few of my teachers recognized a gift I had. Back in the day, I used to act as silly characters in class to cheer up my classmates. I loved making them smile and joining in on their rambunctious laughter, but my teachers really got me to put my passion into words. " After being selected for Talented & Theater, she then studied acting at the New Orleans Center For Creative Arts (NOCCA) and received intensive training and technique. Her time at NOCCA inspired her to pursue acting as a career and she is grateful for the journey of it all. Jaylin received a Bachelor of Theater Arts with a Minor in Business Administration from Loyola University New Orleans in May 2024. Jaylin works as an elementary school teacher and Acting Coach for high school students. She looks forward to acting, directing, writing, and producing more theater and film works.

Jaylin Angelle Darby is a film/theater actor, director, mover, writer, producer, singer/songwriter, acting coach, teacher, curator, human being, goofy goober, and many other cool titles...but most importantly, she's a believer and storyteller. Jaylin  uses her calling to inspire the hearts of her community to live in their truth. As a storyteller, Jaylin believes it is her mission to capture the human experience in all its beauty and ugly.
